Diane Ward Explores Romantic Delusions On Latest Single "Satellite"

South Florida singer Diane Ward was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011. At the time, she had already begun production on her upcoming release, Beautiful Ways.

Although she had already written the songs prior to receiving the diagnosis, her emotional delivery on the album is a product of her battle with the disease. Today she shares her latest single "Satellite" exclusively with Music Times.

"I initially had the idea of writing 'Satellite' the day after I fell asleep while watching a television show about celebrity stalkers," Ward told Music Times about the song.

The main character in the song is portrayed as being this tragic soul who is totally preoccupied and consumed by the sheer existence of someone who simply has no idea of their feelings towards them, or that they even exist for that matter.

First Trailer For Paul Thomas Anderson’s ‘Inherent Vice’

Here’s the first trailer for Paul Thomas Anderson‘s new film Inherent Vice, which is based on the novel by Thomas Pynchon.

This does a great job of setting up the basic story beats right at the outset in a manner that is funny and effective, and which aptly communicates the tone of the novel. And then it gets a little goofy.

And that’s great, because Inherent Vice should be a little bit goofy, and a bit weird, and downright unpredictable.

Those who’ve read the novel will spot many little flourishes and visions in this trailer that suggest that PTA has at least hewn close to the spirit of the book.

And for those who haven’t read the novel, we won’t yet give away all the meanings behind the bits of this Inherent Vice trailer. Just sit back and enjoy it.

Based on the Thomas Pynchon novel, the 1970s-set film stars Joaquin Phoenix as a drug-fueled detective in Los Angeles trying to find his missing ex-girlfriend. It co-stars Josh Brolin, Reese Witherspoon and Owen Wilson.

“Inherent Vice” will hold its world premiere this Saturday, Oct. 4, at the New York Film Festival before opening nationwide on Dec. 12.

Justin Bieber Is In Full-On Romance Mode

Justin Bieber has been using his Instagram lately to send one clear message: he is head over heels for Selena Gomez. We’ve already chronicled our own stages of acceptance about the couple’s rekindling, and ooh-ed and ahh-ed over the various adventures of Jelena since they started hanging out again.

But this latest pic from Bieber’s feed feels particularly poignant—it’s a romantic, fuzzy shot of Selena literally stopping to smell the roses.

It’s an adorable and touching moment that captures a certain sense of mystery and seriousness we don’t often see from Jelena.

But he couldn’t let Selena get all the attention and shared his own somber black and white selfie later in the evening:

We couldn’t be happier they’re back together if this kind of adorableness is going to continue.

George Clooney, Fiancee Amal Arrive In Venice For Wedding

George Clooney, 53, and his British fiancée Amal Alamuddin, 36, arrived in Venice on Friday for their weekend wedding extravaganza, accompanied by loved ones and trailed by a clutch of photographers who recorded their passage along the picturesque Grand Canal.

The couple waved to fans as they were whisked past St Mark’s Square and the 700-year-old Doge’s Palace in a water-taxi, aptly named “Amore” or Love.

Accompanying them on the launch were the groom's parents and Cindy Crawford, the former supermodel, and her husband Rande Gerber.

The water-taxi took them to the Hotel Cipriani, which is expected to host a dinner for the couple’s friends and families tonight, before a grander wedding reception at the Hotel Aman, right on the Grand Canal, on Saturday.

And The Winner of 'Big Brother Season 16' Is

After 97 days, a million alliances, and that moment when you realized that Victoria was going to make it to the Final Three, the 16th season of Big Brother has reached its senses-shattering conclusion.

Since everyone from the Jury to Julie Chen to the narrator seemed to realize that Victoria wouldn’t triumph, it all came down to the Hitmen. Would the winner be Derrick, the puppet master who never went on the block? Or Cody, the Travolta-lookalike who functioned as Derrick’s sidekick/ally/blunt instrument?

Derrick won the final vote, capping off one of the greatest strategy runs in the history of Big Brother.

Never nominated for eviction, never making any openly aggressive moves, never revealing to his closest ally that he was a member of secret chaos squad Team America, and never revealing to anyone that he was an undercover cop by trade, Derrick seemed to be inventing an entirely new way of playing the game. Call it The Man Who Wasn’t There.

The season finale of Big Brother 16 is finally here and we now know who is the winner of the 2014 season!

Is Miley Cyrus' Latest Art Hinting at a Broken Heart?

There's nothing like a good doodle session to vent your frustrations.

It looks like Miley Cyrus had a lot on her mind recently, at least that's what was evident after the singer shared one of her latest art creations with fans on Instagram. "early a.m. drawin," Cyrus captioned the picture, which was a drawing of a crying alien that had numerous thought bubbles surrounding it.

The sad and broken-hearted creature says, "I must go. I will miss yiew," while thinking things like "why does love make me cry," "gravity has nothing to do with me falling for you," and "what are these wet, salty drops coming from my eyes." (But seriously, there are so many more!)

Is someone suffering from a broken heart?!

She followed with another yet far less emotional alien drawing, but this one wasn't thinking anything about love and instead just occupied itself by blowing bubbles.

Miley has definitely been feeling artsy lately, and most recently made a hilarious contribution to the meme world when she got the idea to Photoshop her baby head onto 13 of her raunchiest concert pics, music video stills and other photos from recent months.

The 21-year-old pop star decided to make the memes after she found a silly childhood pic of herself rolling her eyes to make a funny "over it" expression.

Indian Super League Football Schedule 2014

The IPL-style Indian Super League is slated to be the biggest step yet to put Indian football on the international map. Set to take place in the relatively quieter months of September & October later this year, here is everything you need to know about ISL.

It is quite a shame that a good chunk of Indians came to know about ISL only after cricketing icons Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly won bids for Kochi and Kolkata soccer teams. It is evident that the Indian population has little interest in football, let alone football leagues. Did you know that India has an existing football league? Called the I-league, it is the premier Indian football league at this moment.

The ISL might change the status of the I-league, and with popular figures showing interests in the game, it might just help Indian football put itself on the international football map.

A joint venture by IMG-Reliance and the AIFF (All India Football Federation), the league takes its cues from the much-popular cousin, the Indian Premier League, and is an initiative to get some quality football exposure to the local players, whilst bringing a number of well-known international football stars to play in India.

In January 2012, it was indeed a fascinating sight when a full-fledged Bayern Munich team played against the Indian national team, and the reception by the fans was outstanding in what was to be Baichang Bhutia’s last match in the Indian colors. So, the idea of bringing in some good international players, to play actual football games (not the friendly ones) will definitely be well received from the die-hard football fans across India.
